As we all know when you are waiting for something to be released (like a Choppa or a new server) you want to make everything ready so you don’t have to waste precious leveling time on fixing stuff that could have been fixed before. Such as getting gold and items, planning your quests, and tweaking your interface.
So I decided it was time to look over the interface and remove or replace a lot of addons. Instead of stuffing in every possible addon that might help me I did the opposite. Out with everything and just add the essential.
The most important thing about my interface is that it’s supposed to be clean, show as much as possible of the screen, and show all the important stuff in one place. No looking up into the top left corner to see health and then back to bottom middle for abilities.
Buffs/debuffs
The biggest factor that dictate how my interface looks is how buffs and debuffs are displayed. DuffTimer continues to become better and better and its icon-timer are really neat. Compact, yet show everything you need to know. Buffs and debuffs separated into 3 parts with Duff addon.
Under my character are my own buffs, so I can pick out the important stuff. Stacks left and then one row up.
Over my character are buffs and debuffs by anyone else.
Under my target is their buffs and debuffs caused by me. Stacks right and then one row up.
Information
I’m using 2 action bars, but would probably need 3 on my WP. Hopefully Choppa don’t require as much, so I’m sticking with 2.
Warhammer Scrolling Combat Text in the middle of the screen in 3 parts. Left is my incoming damage. Right is my incoming healing. Outgoing damage is shown over enemies’ head.
WarBoard in the top right corner showing information that the game wants to cover the entire upper part of the screen. FPS, rank, renown, guild rank, influence, money, clock and Victory Points.
Everything else
Squared (not shown in screen) is of course the unitframe for groups, warbands and scenarios.
ChattyCathy improves the chat.
Phantom hides annoying things like original player and group buffs.
Moth improves the tooltip.
Rarity displays those neat colored borders showing item quality.
BlackBox replaces that hideous “respawning” box in the middle of your screen with something smaller.
