The last boss of Icecrown Citadel is dead, in fact has been cleared by a number of guilds on both 10 and 25man difficulty , in most cases less than a day after the patch landed, and of course drama has ensued.
Ensidia got banned after using exploits on their world-first 25man. Whether those exploits were intentional or not, I don’t know. To me it looks like using saronite bombs was just part of the rogues’ regular rotations – so if anyone should be taking the blame on this one it’s Blizzard for not testing properly.
The fact that Paragon EU scored the 25man world first by one shotting Arthas further serves to illustrate my point. The encounter looks too easy. A number of progression guilds and players have already come out and stated, unequivocally, that the encounter seems trivial – whether or not the exploits were used.
Now, of course, clearing Icecrown on Normal Mode probably isn’t that big a deal, and Arthas being downed relatively quickly was a given. But I kinda hoped it would take the world’s top guilds a little longer than, say, 24 hours to defeat the final boss of WoW.
