Yep, I spent a couple of hours yesterday evening (Saturday) in the Eternal Farmfest, where I was practically torn limb from limb. Was it painful, absolutely, did I enjoy it, not really, but when your eyes are on the prize, like a new weapon for my BW, it’s amazing how much crap you can put up with. Though my 2.30am the previous night (Friday) had pretty much destroyed me. Ho Hum, the wife and two and half-year old child, weren’t that sympathetic at 6.45 am the next morning. Strangely my young daughter doesn’t appreciate daddy working late, yet.
Its been really brutal these last couple of evenings. Anyone with a reasonable setup, which is a couple of healers, a couple of tanks, is normally going to be onto a killing. The groups I’ve having been joining, which are all pugs, are often without the basic’s of a healer, let alone TWO. So you’re pretty much up against it from the start. In those situations I reasonably happy if I get 100+ points, to get my 2nd medallion, plus the bonus one.
As a pug player, it’s pretty much versus premades for the majority of the time, which has the benefit of being mercifully quick. If you’re in a pug and you want the misery to end quickly, camping out your spawn point isn’t going to hasten it. You need to fall on their sword point. At least then, you can join another one where you may (unlikely) have a chance.
I actually was in a scenario versus a quality premade on Friday night on Karak Norn and I think they actually felt sorry for me. I think they had pretty much deduced how their weekend was going to pan out with this scenario and they were in a happy place. They had to kill me in the end, since they needed to finish the scenario, but I got a pm within a few minutes apologising, which I thought was really decent of them.
One more night and it’s all over thank god. At least I don’t need to feel my eyeballs are being pulled from their sockets for much longer.
I’d love to know how any players in the premades have viewed this weekend scenario. Maybe my opinion is wrong.
I have a feeling that my loss rate for this scenario is a lot higher than normal scenarios. The 6 vs 6 is a lot less forgiving if your setup isn’t right.
